Mrs Priscilla (Precious) Wood is the wife of Aspen (Ash) Wood and the mother of David (NutJob) Wood. She is the harbourmaster at the commercial docks in Lancaster.
“Back in the early days,” explains Mr Wood, “she wasn’t the harbourmaster, she was a ship’s Purser. And she would come into the bank two or three times a week to deposit cash. That made it easy to chat to her, and we got to know each other. She claims that she had no choice really. The cash had to be banked, and that meant that she had to talk to me.”
“Please don’t believe all her story though. I began to notice that if other windows were free, Precious would deliberately wait, she’d let other people go ahead of her, and then she’d come over to my window when I was ready.
