Bubbles

A watercolour painting of a lady in her late thirties. She has dark brown wavy hair which stops just short of her collar. Her deep brown eyes are looking at something (a school pupil) out of shot on her left. Her expression is neutral, although she looks as if she might be about to frown. She has tiny gold stud earrings and modest cosmetics. She is wearing an open neck, medium blue blouse. The image is labelled “Bubbles” which is the name Madame Troyes prefers. Except when she’s working as a primary school teacher, when she is always “Madame Troyes”.

Madame Barbara (Bubbles) Troyes is the wife of Monsieur Henri Troyes and the mother of Kristal (KristalClear) Troyes. She’s a teacher at Willowdene Primary School with the dubious pleasure of having FullyCharged and NightmareSkippy in her class, along with the more gentile girls Hayley and Lollipop.

“And they call you Mademoiselle?” says NutJob.

“Usually they only do that when they’re upset with me! They start by saying Mademoiselle Troyes, if you … something, something, something. This time I think Maman was just doing it for emphasis, to show that we have French heritage. She’s actually 100% Wolfie. Papa’s the one who’s 2% French. Or something like that.”
