The Frumious Bandersnatch is captained by BlackCloud who’s a weird little fellow! He’s descended from a long line of pirate captains, and even though he’s rather short he inherited the role, and therefore he’s captain. He succeeds in keeping order because he’s an excellent swordsman, and he’s sufficiently slim to be able to escape from any confined space.
The crew has mixed feelings about the captain being short and slim. But they don’t want him to die, because they’d have nobody left to take the mickey out of. His deputy, BlackDog, is a cruel and spiteful man so the crew want BlackCloud to remain as captain. They’d prefer to have somebody predictable in charge! Whereas BlackDog might actually get them killed!
