Melanie (Mel) Gibson is 73 years old and has never married. Along with about 30 other retirees she now lives in the Trafalgar Wing of the Noble Coliseum. She has made friends with The Colonel and they get along well in spite of the fact that she suffers from dementia.
She is a great fan of horoscopes, and delights in sharing gossip with The Colonel and with a 13 year old orphan nicknamed ClaireVoyant. It seems that the mystic in The Lancastrian called CelesteEmbrace is connected with this group, all of whom live in the Noble Coliseum.
MissGibson’s favourite chairs in the Garden Room and the Conservatory are the ones that overlook the ornamental garden where she can watch the activity around the bird table. MissGibson is not fond of the crayon munchers, the term she uses for all the younger orphans, but she’s happy to spend time with ClaireVoyant and any of the teenagers who can follow the rules and chat calmly and quietly.
