Do you want<\/em> to stay with these people? I don\u2019t! Come with me! Now!\u201d<\/p>\n She instantly recognises the whole ploy, the diversion, the fight, and the shrewd newcomer trying to escape. Normally when something like this happens nobody comes towards her, they\u2019re always running the other way. She\u2019s never intervened in an escape before, has never had to, because there are usually some big, ugly pirates involved. And she has never, ever been invited to take part in an escape!<\/p>\n She looks at MickeyWarr. With a quick, subtle wink and a kind smile, she says, \u201cI can\u2019t! You go!\u201d<\/p>\n That\u2019s not the response he\u2019d been expecting. Everything about the body language had said yes, and everything about the actual reply said no!<\/p>\n She whispers to him, \u201cI want to go, but BlackCloud is my dad, I can\u2019t leave.\u201d<\/p>\n Devastating news!<\/p>\n Now, desperately trying to rework his escape plan on the fly, he quickly says, \u201cI tripped over your foot, draw your sword, stick your boot on my back!\u201d<\/p>\n He throws himself to the ground, and feigns an injury, yelling, \u201carghh!\u201d<\/p>\n MickeyWarr attempts to act the invalid, and pretends that he can\u2019t reach a sprained ankle, because he\u2019s already pinned to the ground with a pirate\u2019s boot on his back, and the tip of a rapier resting against his throat.<\/p>\n Lieutenant Slender is a better actor than MickeyWarr!<\/p>\n BlackDog\u2019s two heavies abandon their fight, drop SpudGunn to the floor, and race over to beat up the would be escapee.<\/p>\n \u201cLeave him, he\u2019s mine! I caught him, I\u2019ll sort this out. And anyway, he can\u2019t even walk now!
