The firm kick to his hip drags him back into consciousness.<\/p>\n \u201cYes, kiss me,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n \u201cYou what?\u201d says SpudGunn, as he wakes just in time to avoid the next customary kick.<\/p>\n MickeyWarr\u2019s luxurious dream is instantly destroyed as he sees SpudGunn looking at him quizzically. Where\u2019s that wonderfully luscious journey, the one with the mystery girl leading him into the woods? Can he fall asleep again? Can he pick it up again? Just where he left off?<\/p>\n \u201cOatmeal again!\u201d says SpudGunn.<\/p>\n A measure of watery sludge is dolloped onto his chipped, enamel plate, \u201cwouldn\u2019t mind some potato sometimes! Bubble and squeak even, with lovely tender cabbage, the way mum used to make it.\u201d<\/p>\n Looking at MickeyWarr he says, \u201cyou know, cabbage, with just a bit of bite to it. And some steam gently rising, as the butter begins to melt and ooze over the top!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cButter!?\u201d demands MickeyWarr, \u201cwhen did you ever have butter? In your dreams mate!\u201d<\/p>\n MickeyWarr doesn\u2019t wait for an answer. He takes his breakfast and sits down at one of the long, uneven trestle tables at the far end of the Asylum. Like a lost puppy with no friends SpudGunn follows him, waddling like a British Bulldog. He sits at the opposite side of the same table.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m getting fed up being stuck in this building!\u201d says SpudGunn, \u201cit would be nice to get out today, I\u2019d be happy to be on a ship, doing a raid or something!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019d be nice to get out, full stop,\u201d replies MickeyWarr!<\/p>\n \u201cHow\u2019s the escape plan going?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cPah! Look at these people! No ambition!\u201d<\/p>\n The escape plan is going nowhere, because MickeyWarr hasn\u2019t yet met anybody with enough gumption to do anything about their imprisonment.
