This superb shop is located right in the (fictional) heart of Lancaster (in 2450AD).<\/p>\n

Chadwicks\u00a0 is a delightfully traditional green grocer and general store and it\u2019s the nearest thing that Wolfland has to a supermarket. Well stocked with fresh produce, tinned supplies and giant, good old fashioned jars of sweets, it\u2019s extremely popular, especially with the younger children who receive pocket money for the first time, and learn how to spend it on gobstoppers, love hearts, aniseed balls and lemon drops.<\/p>\n

Mr Chadwick’s first store on Market Street in Ulverston was quickly followed by a second in Lancaster and a third in Preston. Len Chadwick and his family still live in Ulverston, and take pride in working with the local community. You\u2019ll find him exhibiting at The GooseFair every year where he likes to display his wares alongside his personal passion, a collection of bonsai trees.<\/p>\n

The store in Lancaster is the largest one. Sandwiched between Esoteric Hair and Wolfland Bank, Chadwicks is perfectly positioned to pick up lots of trade.<\/p>\n

The store is large enough to have space in one corner for a miniature tea shop. It\u2019s not trying to compete with the other caf\u00e9s, and it doesn\u2019t have the same frontage rights, but is does have four tables and a few chairs. It\u2019s popular with local workers and there\u2019s always somebody sitting in the small confined space. Alongside your tea or coffee you can pick up a cup cake, or a croissant or a pain au chocolat, but they don\u2019t do meals. There are other outlets that are better placed to do that. But if you want the best fruit and veg in town, on any day of the week, Chadwicks should be your first choice!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
